The Brno Jedna project brings new energy to the central part of Brno, transforming a former brownfield into a modern urban district that connects living, working, and leisure. The first stage of this transformation includes the multifunctional buildings Neon and Xenon, which will offer 188 residential and accommodation units complemented by commercial spaces.

The architectural design by studio A8000 thoughtfully reflects the industrial history of the location and combines it with modern design and sustainability features such as solar panels and rainwater retention systems for irrigation. Residents can look forward to high-quality amenities, including two rooftop terraces, stroller and bicycle storage rooms, and a laundry room in each building.

The Neon and Xenon residential buildings are the first sparks of new energy driving the development of the Brno Jedna district. the architect

“The selection of materials is thoughtfully curated, with each element serving a specific purpose. The metal and glass panels pay homage to the industrial heritage of the area. The use of white plaster, a simple and timeless material, contrasts elegantly with the dark-framed windows, subtly referencing Brno’s iconic functionalist residential buildings. The interplay of raw concrete and green details adds a perfect touch of vibrancy and character to the design.”

We drew inspiration from the classic urban block, adapting it to fit the unique characteristics of the location while honoring its history and future potential.
